"HEARD IT IN A SONG"

So, how well do you know your country music? I will put you to the test with a brand new feature on 107-7 THE BULL! Every weekday morning around 10:20, I will recite a line out of a great country song. And then sometime later in the morning, I will play the song where that line is part of the lyrics. As soon as the song plays, be the first caller on the Bull Horn to tell me that is the song! The first correct caller to identify the song wins a nice prize. Great country songs come and go on the radio. But, the "recipe for a really successful song" comes down to memorable lyrics.
What have words to songs meant to you? Was it the wit or beauty of the words? Was it the emotion or memory it stirred in you? Or, just a great sing-along song that made you feel good? Some things-especially songs from our formative years stay with us for the rest of our lives. Whatever the case may be, you will enjoy "HEARD IT IN A SONG" weekday mornings with me-Sue Parker.
