This week we have been doing the “Holiday Hunt for Kenny Chesney” and in searching for the perfect little hiding places around Bloomington Normal, I realized something. Our community is beautiful. Sure, I have made you look in places that are abandon or run down but there is beauty in that too. You are too good at finding these tickets and there are a lot of beautiful pictures that didn’t get posted because you found the tickets too fast. For example:
This was taken outside of the old Hobby Lobby at the Shoppes at College Hills. I was really bummed that you didn’t get to see this one. I love the circles. I am sure that better photographer than I could take a better picture but I love the symmetry.
This is the Eastland Mall sign. I feel like I have seen a picture like this in a gallery and thought “I could take that picture”… and I did.
This is the star atop the Christmas tree at the Shoppes at College Hills. This is a beautiful tree that I really thought about hiding Kenny inside of but, I did want someone to go digging and mess it up.
This is a mural in Uptown Normal. I don’t know who painted it or why or even what it is supposed to be but it makes me wonder every time I come across it.
This is at the Corn Crib. Home of the Cornbelters baseball team. We are very fortunate to have a minor league baseball team in town. It is a beautiful park inside and out. The trees in straight lines is what I liked most about this picture.
Long story short….I hope you have enjoyed the scavenger hunts as much as I have. And I hope you get to look around our community and be proud because our community is beautiful
