There’s something special about discovering a new song for the holidays that you really love. Don’t get me wrong–classics like Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (recorded by 13-year-old Brenda Lee) will never go out of style. But I’m not suggesting that you replace any of those wonderful songs on your Christmas Morning playlist. I’m simply advising you to consider adding these hidden gems to the soundtrack to your cookie-baking and gift-wrapping sessions:
- One More Drinkin’ Song (Mistletoe Mix) – Jerrod Niemann
- Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Mitchell Tenpenny
- Glow – Brett Eldgredge
- Mele Kalikimaka – Kacey Musgraves
- Silent Night – Reba McEntire ft. Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood
- When You Believe – Pentatonix ft. Maren Morris
- Go Tell It On the Mountain – Alabama
- Nuttin’ for Christmas – Sugarland
- Santa’s Gonna Come in a Pickup Truck – Alan Jackson & The Chipmunks
- Christmas Tree – Zac Brown Band ft. Sara Bareilles
Merry Christmas! And remember…even if we don’t get snow this year, Santa’s got a truck to get him around the world on Christmas Eve. Alan Jackson told me so.
