Rod Blagojevich went from being the former governor of Illinois to inmate number 40892-424 yesterday, when he began spending a 14-year sentence for corruption charges.
Just before noon yesterday, Blagojevich steeped out of a black SUV and walked into the Federal Correctional Institution Englewood in suburban Denver.
Like other prisoners, Blagojevich reportedly went through the protocol of a full-body strip search and had to hand over his personal belongings and clothing, and put on khaki prison wear and work boots.
