Nashville is buzzing with the rumor that Kenny Chesney wants to bail out of his contract with Sony Nashville's BNA Records.
According to the New York Post, Kenny is not happy with how Sony has handled him and is shopping for a $30-million deal with other labels.
His manager says, "This is very inaccurate. We have no plans to be anything but a country music artist.
Also, we have enjoyed a long-term, successful relationship with Sony. The numbers you speak about, etc., are purely rumors that are far from the truth."
Kenny signed with BNA in 1995 after spending a year on the now defunct Capricorn Records.
