May be all American should start doing this.....what do you say??
Everybody gripes about movies. There are the high ticket prices, the chatty people, the distracting glow of cell phones. And, to top it off, the price of popcorn, candy and soda is totally insane.
Well, a man in Michigan is mad as hell about the prices at the concession stand and he's not going to take it anymore.
Movie buff Joshua Thompson has filed a class action lawsuit against the AMC theater chain, alleging that high concession prices are price gouging, which is against the law in Michigan.
Joshua said he used to bring his own snacks to the movies -- but recently saw a new sign telling customers they were no longer allowed to do so.
So he did what any red-blooded American would do. He sued.
Theater owners are very worried, of course, because if he's successful, there could be copycat lawsuits all across the country.
