SUGARLAND SAYS "WE NEED MORE TIME" FOR DEPOSITIONS

SUGARLAND want to wait until May to give depositions for lawsuits filed after the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair last year.  Jennifer Nettles & Kristian Bush were about to perform when the tragedy occurred. A gust of wind knocked down the stage rigging, killing 7 people injuring nearly 60 near the Grandstand.
Mid-America Sound Corp., which owns the stage and has been named as a co-defendant in the suits, has asked a Superior Court Judge to force the band to provide depositions next week.    Mid-America has already released the transcript of the State Fair's Executive Director-which implicated Sugarland. The State Fair Director said Sugarland was asked twice to delay the show because of the threat of bad weatehr, but that the band refused because Jennifer Nettles had already warmed up and the band had to be in Des Moines, Iowa, the next day.
A hearing is scheduled this Friday on the deposition request.   Stay tuned....
