NBC has decided to move ahead with a drama based loosely on Miranda Lambert's life. The show will revolve around a husband and wife who are private investigators and their two children. Miranda's mother and father were private eyes when she and her brother were growing up. Miranda will serve as executive producer. Her mother Bev and her manager will serve as consultants.
ABC Family originally showed interest in the show, but the deal fell through. Sources believe that Blake Shelton's connection to NBC helped seal the deal. No word on when production will start.
Her network might be struggling, but Oprah Winfrey is still rolling in the dough. The TV mogul tops Forbes magazine's list of the highest paid celebrities for the fourth year in a row. She earned $165 million between May 2011 and May 2012. Transformers director Michael Bay was a close second with $160 million. Others on the list include Ryan Seacrest, Howard Stern, Simon Cowell, Tom Cruise and Britney Spears.

Sources say Randy Travis was not intoxicated at the time of this mornining's altercation with another man in a church parking lot in Texas. TMZ reports that the fight began as an argument between his fiancée and her estranged husband over their son's visitation. But then it got violent. Randy was cited for assault and hospitalized.
Jason Aldean has revealed some details about his upcoming album, Night Train, which will be released October 16th. Jason promises that, like his other albums, this one will be full of musical surprises. He says, "I don't like being put in a box, and I think with every record, we've had a lot of variety… Night Train is no different."
Jason's Night Train includes "The Only Way I Know," a collaboration with Luke Bryan and Eric Church.

But Gossip Cop reports that T is alive and well. If you need further proof that she lives and breathes, yesterday (Sunday) she tweeted a picture of her cat Meredith watching the Olympics. Zac Brown Band's Uncaged is once again the nation's number-one country album, according to the latest SoundScan figures. It's also the overall number-one, edging out rapper Nas, according to the latest SoundScan figures.
Kenny Chesney's Welcome to the Fishbowl holds steady at number-two, and Luke Bryan's Tailgates and Tanlines hangs at number-three. Love and Theft's self titled album enters the chart at number four, kicking Old Crow Medicine Show's Carry Me Back out of the Top 5. And Carrie Underwood rounds out the Top 5 with Blown Away.
Miranda Lambert, along with Blake Shelton, are among the finalists for VH1's Do Something Awards for their benefit for an Oklahoma veterans program and animal shelter. The awards are given out on August 21st.
