State Superintendent of Education Dr. Carmen I. Ayala declared that remote learning days will begin on Tuesday, March 31, and continue until schools can reopen.
During these days, schools can implement an e-learning plan or a remote learning day plan that gives students instruction and access to educators through “whatever means possible.”
In addition, schools can use up to five remote learning planning days any time after March 30 to plan for these remote learning days.
Remote learning days, remote learning planning days, and Act of God Days are counted as student attendance days and will not need to be made up.
The Remote Learning Recommendations encourage school districts to embrace the principle of “no educational harm to any child.” School districts are also encouraged to adopt grading models of pass or incomplete.
