Candy Corn Lane replaces The Haunted Trail event this Halloween season in Normal. The Candy Corn Lane will be a drive-through event that will now be held on Oct. 9 and 16 at One Normal Plaza.
“Due to COVID-19 we are unable to host our annual Haunted Trail in the traditional format. Like many families who have enjoyed that event for decades, our staff is disappointed we cannot celebrate Halloween that way this year,” said James Wayne, Assistant Director of Parks and Rec. “In place of that family-friendly event we created Candy Corn Lane. We know it’s important for families to have safe options to celebrate and we believe this will be a popular alternative.”
The event will be open from 6:30-9 p.m. on the two dates. Participants will be lined up along Lincoln Avenue and extend into Beech Street, if necessary.
Children 12 and under will receive a treat bag. Each vehicle will be charged $5 for the drive-through.
