Although the Illinois State Fair isn’t scheduled until August, many people had been wondering if it would still go on.

The Illinois State Fair released a statement on Friday, April 3 to address those concerns.

“The Illinois Department of Agriculture and State Fair staff are currently working to put on the Illinois State Fair as scheduled. The health and safety of fair-goers is our top priority and we continue to work closely with the Illinois Department of Public Health.”

Back in March, the Illinois State Fair announced it was canceling all events that were scheduled to be held on the Illinois State Fairgrounds through May 1.
