To boost COVID-19 response operations, Gov. JB Pritzker has activated about 80 members of the Illinois National Guard and Illinois Air National Guard statewide.

The activations include soldiers from Kewanee and Springfield, along with airmen from Bloomington.

This brings the total number of ING members helping COVID-19 response operations to about 650.
