The release of the five-phase plan on how to reopen Illinois left many wondering when concerts, festivals, and fairs may return. We now may have an answer to some of those questions.
Those hoping for corn dogs, rides, and fun at the Illinois State Fair this year, may be out of luck.
Governor JB Pritzker, D-Illinois, said in his daily COVID-19 briefing on Wednesday that it is highly unlikely any of the Illinois state fairs will go on as planned.
“I think it is highly unlikely we’ll be able to hold our state fairs… I do not believe we’ll be able to open the state fairs,” Gov. Pritzker said in his Wednesday press briefing.
